The Season and the Hunt
AE invites big game hunters to enjoy Argentina’s resources. In the last few years, Argentina has become one of the leading destinations for its small and big game because of its large, wild, desolate plains, which make possible a practically unlimited amount of shooting. Over 16 different species of quality big game trophies are available and all are waiting for you to enjoy a personal best effort.
For large game, hunters worldwide have begun to appreciate Argentina’s magnificent five main target species including Red deer (Red stag), Puma, Water buffalo, Brocket deer and Wild lipped peccary. Other available species include Fallow deer, Axis deer, Four horned sheep, Black buck, Capybara, Wild boar and Wild goat (locally called "chivo montés"). Hunting reserves are usually large local ranches called "estancias" that are not large enough to cater to very large groups and hunting parties generally are very small. Reservations should be made six to 12 months in advance.
In every destination you choose in Argentina, we can assure you the most exiting and successful shooting. You may wonder how we can assure this to you, very simply because we live in Argentina and possess the knowledge of the most important areas where you can enjoy your favorite big game shooting providing you the best and most unforgettable world class experience!

YOUR EQUIPMENT
Your Rifle
Largely your rifle caliber is your personal choice with rifles in the .243 to .300 caliber adequate for most species. For Water Buffalo, .375 caliber and up would be preferred. Soft-point bullets are ideal for short range shots (Wild boar, Puma, Wild lipped peccaries, Axis deer, Fallow deer and Red stag); long range bullets (e.g., Nosler Ballistic Tips) for European Mouflons, Feral Goats, Black bucks, Feral Sheep etc.
Remember Muzzleloaders are welcomed for all species.
And for Bow hunters, the ideal species are Red stag, Puma and Wild boar.

Winter (June-August): Warm shirt and light jacket for daytime. Heavy, dark camouflage clothing, gloves and waterproof, insulated boots for night hunts.
Summer (December- February): Regular jacket and light boots for night; camouflage T-shirt and camouflage light pants plus a cotton hat with 4-inch brim for daylight hours.
