GEESE The incredible goose shooting of Bahia Blanca is only a one-hour flight from Buenos Aires; this is goose shooing like you will not believe! Bahia Blanca is only about 450 miles south of Buenos Aires and is easy to reach. This is another wonderful destination as within the May to August period, thousands of geese and ducks arrive in this agricultural area where you can take part in this exciting adventure. Three species of geese, including Magellan and Ashy-head geese are available. These geese are native only to South America, with the Magellan being about the size of a lesser Canadian goose and the Ashy head being similar in size and coloration to a snow geese found in North America. It is not unusual for a hunter to harvest 25-40 geese per hunter in a two-hour morning shoot. Hunting for geese is generally done early in the day with shooters working out of natural blinds or individual pits using decoys. In the afternoon, try your hand at some great duck hunting or shoot perdiz over super bird dogs. The Magaires Ranch is Argentina Expeditions exclusive, five star lodge on Bahia Blanca. In the morning a typical breakfast will be served with lunch in the same place. At the end of a hunting day, an excellent dinner will be served to our clients. They can taste fine cuisine and our famous Argentine beef, delicate wines as well as great deserts and coffees. Our hunting areas are only between 25 and 50 minutes from the lodge. Up to 12 hunters are welcome in the lodge and a minimum party size of 4 is required. |
